The tech giant, Google, is all set to launch its first-ever foldable smartphone, the Google Pixel Fold. The renders of the Pixel Fold were leaked in November last year, and thanks to the popular leaker, Jon Prosser, we now have complete specifications of this foldable smartphone, except for the battery capacity.
Google Pixel Fold: All features, Specs, And Price
The Google Pixel Fold is rumoured to have two OLED displays. The primary display will be 7.6-inch (1840 x 2208 pixels) with a 6:5 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering an immersive viewing experience. The secondary display will be 5.8-inch (1080 x 2092 pixels) with a 17.4:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be more compact, and users can comfortably use the phone with one hand.
The Google Pixel Fold will be powered by Google Tensor G2 processor, which will be equipped with Titan M2 security chip, ensuring the security of the device. It will have 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage, making it one of the fastest and most powerful devices in the market. It will operate on Android 13, the latest version of the Android operating system.
The phone will boast an impressive camera setup, including a 48MP rear camera with 1/2″ sensor f/1.7 aperture, OIS, CLAF, 10.8MP 121.1° Ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with f/3.05 aperture, offering 5x optical zoom, 20x Super Res zoom, and LDAF sensor. The phone will also have a 9.5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, making it perfect for taking selfies.
The Pixel Fold will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security, USB Type-C audio, stereo speakers, and Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC for connectivity.
The Google Pixel Fold is rumoured to have over 24 hours of battery life, and users can enjoy up to 72 hours with extreme battery saver. However, the battery capacity of the phone is yet to be confirmed. The phone will be heavier than other foldables, weighing around 254 grams.
Google Pixel Fold: Pricing and Availability
The Google Pixel Fold will come in two storage variants, 256GB in chalk and obsidian colours priced at $1799 (Rs. 1,47,590 approx.), and 512GB in obsidian colour priced at $1919 (Rs. 1,57,435 approx.). It is expected to be announced at Google I/O on May 10th, and pre-orders will begin on the same day through Google Store and through the carriers on May 30th.

With impressive specifications and features, the phone is expected to give tough competition to other foldable phones.
