Lava Agni 2 5G: First Smartphone With MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC

So, Lava, a well-known smartphone brand, is gearing up to launch its latest offering, the Lava Agni 2 5G, which is set to become the first smartphone to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 7050 SoC. While the new chip was unveiled yesterday, it’s not entirely new, as it’s identical to the Dimensity 1080 that was launched last October. Nevertheless, Lava is excited to claim the bragging rights for its upcoming smartphone.

The company has not yet officially launched the Lava Agni 2 5G, but there have been leaks that reveal some of its important specifications. Additionally, a hands-on image of the device has also surfaced.

Agni 2 5G: Leaked Specifications

According to the leaks By @Abhishek Yadav, the Agni 2 is expected to feature an AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint sensor. It is also said to come with Android 13 out of the box, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device is rumored to be equipped with a 50 MP primary camera on the rear, which is a downgrade from its predecessor’s 64 MP camera.

Agni 2 5G: Improvements Over Its Predecessor

The original Lava Agni was released in November 2021, so its successor has taken its sweet time to arrive. The Lava Agni was powered by the Dimensity 810, which means the new model should provide a significant performance boost in comparison. While the RAM remains the same, the storage has been doubled. The Lava Agni 2 5G’s main camera, however, sees a downgrade from its predecessor’s 64 MP to 50 MP.

Moreover, the original Agni had an LCD screen and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the Agni 2 seems to have some nice improvements all around with its AMOLED screen and embedded fingerprint sensor.

The leaked specifications of Lava Agni 2 5G look promising, and with the device being the first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, it’s sure to generate some buzz in the market. We’re excited to see what other features the device has in store when it’s finally launched.
