Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 to Have Lower Price than Previous Model

Samsung‘s Galaxy Z Fold series is a popular lineup of foldable smartphones. However, their high prices make them inaccessible to many users. The latest report suggests that Samsung plans to address this issue by pricing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 lower than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

According to leaked information, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will cost $1,699, $100 less than the Z Fold 4 when it launched. It’s important to note that this is just a rumor, so take it with caution.

So, if the leaks are accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have a 7.6-inch QHD+ AMOLED primary display and a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED cover display. Both screens will support a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the smartphone will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

In terms of the camera, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and also a 10MP telephoto lens. On the front, there will be a 12MP selfie camera, and there are rumors about a 4MP under-display camera.

The device will run on Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI custom user interface. It will be powered by a 4,400mAh battery and will support fast charging and wireless charging.

Samsung has announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in Seoul, South Korea. The exact date has not been revealed yet, but it’s expected to be at the end of July, possibly on the 27th. There will also be a separate launch event in North America for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones.
