Vivo Y78 5G Appeared on NCC Site with Live Images & Key Specs

Vivo is all set to unveil a slew of new products this month, including the much-awaited X Fold 2, the first-ever flip phone X Flip, and the exclusive Chinese debut of Vivo Pad 2. In addition, Vivo is also working on a mid-range device, the Y78+. And adding fuel to the rumors, the National Communications Commission (NCC) certification site has recently leaked images of the vanilla Vivo Y78 5G smartphone, which is expected to join the Y series lineup.

What is Vivo Y78 5G?

The Vivo Y78 5G is the latest smartphone from Vivo, spotted on the NCC website with model number V2244. The NCC is a regulatory body responsible for certifying communication devices in Taiwan. The device is expected to come with a 44W adaptor with a Type-A to Type-C charging cable and a massive 5,000mAh battery.

The NCC website shares live images of the Vivo Y78 5G, giving us a glimpse of its design. The phone looks quite similar to the previously leaked Vivo Y78+ 5G, featuring a sleek design and a sizable camera bump that houses three camera sensors within two rings. The front of the phone boasts a curved display with a center punch hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Specs and Rumors

The specifications of the Vivo Y78 5G are not entirely known, but it is expected to launch alongside the Plus model. Rumors suggest that the Y78+ will be powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor with up to 12GB of RAM. Both devices will likely run Android 13 OS out of the box.
