Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro Battery and Fast Charging Details Unveiled

Google‘s upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones have had more details revealed about their batteries and charging capabilities. Last month, Android Authority shared information about the display and camera specifications of the Pixel 8 series. Now, new reports have emerged providing insights into the battery sizes and charging speeds of these highly anticipated devices.

According to a reliable source within Google, the Pixel 8 will come with a 4,480mAh battery and support 24W wired charging. This is an upgrade from its predecessor, the Pixel 7, which had a smaller 4,270mAh battery and 20W wired charging.

The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, will boast a larger 4,950mAh battery and offer 27W wired charging. In comparison, the previous model, the Pixel 7 Pro, had a 4,926mAh battery with 23W wired charging. Both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will support wireless charging, with the Pixel 8 supporting 20W wireless charging and the Pixel 8 Pro supporting 23W wireless charging.

In terms of connectivity, the Pixel 8 series will feature the Broadcom BCM4398 chip, enabling support for Wi-Fi 7. This next-generation Wi-Fi offers faster speeds, improved stability, and lower latency. However, it’s important to note that only the Pixel 8 Pro will include ultra-wideband technology.

One of the challenges with Google Pixel devices is their limited availability compared to other manufacturers. To address this, Google may be expanding the distribution of its Pixel devices. By comparing the available languages listed in the electronic warranty terms, it is speculated that the Pixel 8 may be officially distributed in additional countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Portugal.
