So, Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones are set to be released in October this year. Recently, details about the camera and display specifications of these devices were leaked by Android Authority. The Pixel 8 will have a slightly smaller screen than the Pixel 7, while the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a flat display instead of a curved one. The new models will also have slightly rounded corners and a different shape compared to their predecessors.

So, to recap, the Pixel 7 had a 6.3-inch flat OLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, had a 6.71-inch curved OLED display with a Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Both screens supported up to 1,000 nits of brightness.

As for the Pixel 8, it will feature a 6.17-inch screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Also, the refresh rate has been improved to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and better touch response. The pixel density is 427ppi, and the display can reach a brightness level of 1,400 nits. Samsung and OLED are supplying the displays for the Pixel 8.

And, the Pixel 8 Pro will have a 6.70-inch OLED display with a Quad HD+ resolution of 1344 x 2992 pixels. The refresh rate remains at 120Hz, providing a seamless user experience. The pixel density is 490ppi, and the display can reach a brightness level of 1,600 nits. Samsung is also providing the display panels for the Pixel 8 Pro.
