Possible Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE/Lite Models Surface on Geekbench

Samsung continues to expand its Galaxy Tab S9 series, as two more devices with model codes SM-X516B and SM-X616B, have been spotted on Geekbench. These are expected to be Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 FE/Lite models. The previously spotted models were the Galaxy Tab S9 and Tab S9 Ultra, having model codes SM-X716B and SM-X916B, respectively.

These newly surfaced devices are powered by the Exynos 1380 SoC and run Android 13. The SM-X516B model features 6GB of RAM while the SM-X616B boasts 8GB. The SM-X516B model scores higher on Geekbench, but since these are pre-production units, it’s best to wait for retail versions to judge their performance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE/Lite Model

It is unclear whether these devices are the Galaxy Tab S9 FE or Lite because last year’s Galaxy Tab S8 series did not include either. However, the Tab S7 lineup had an FE model, while the Tab S6 had a Lite variant.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series already has a Plus version, with model code SM-X716B. Although we are yet to see it on Geekbench, it’s likely that the Galaxy Tab S9+ will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy at the helm, the same chip that powers the flagship Galaxy S23 series.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series is expanding, with two more possible models spotted on Geekbench. It remains unclear whether these devices are the Galaxy Tab S9 FE or Lite, but we know that the series includes a Plus version, and it’s likely to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. We’ll have to wait for more information to be sure.
