If you’re eagerly anticipating the release of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, you’ll be happy to hear that a new listing from a China-based regulator has revealed the battery specs for both the standard model and the Classic. Here’s what you can expect in terms of battery capacity:
- Galaxy Watch 6 40mm (SM-R930/SM-R935): 300mAh battery
- Galaxy Watch 6 44mm (SM-R940/SM-R945): 425mAh battery
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 42mm (SM-R950/SM-R955): 300mAh battery
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 46mm (SM-R960/SM-R965): 425mAh battery
These battery sizes are in line with what we’ve heard from previous rumors, and it seems that the larger variants of both models will share the same size battery. However, it’s worth noting that there’s no mention of a Pro device in this listing, so it’s possible that previous leaks referencing a Pro model were actually referring to the Classic instead.
While these battery sizes represent roughly a 5% improvement from the Galaxy Watch 5, they do fall short of the 590mAh battery found on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. However, it’s rumored that the Watch 6 may have some battery life improvement features, such as a MicroLED display instead of a SuperAMOLED screen.
Overall, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 will have a decent battery life, especially if it does indeed come with some battery-saving features. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the release date.
