Ahead of the official launch, a Vietnam-based leakster has revealed the specifications and design of the device, and there are some striking similarities to the Pixel 7, which was launched by Google in 2022 along with the Pixel 7 Pro.

According to reports, the Pixel 7a has undergone some design tweaks on the rear panel, but the front of the device is almost identical to the Pixel 7. The phone is expected to feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ 90hz OLED display, powered by a Tensor G2 chipset, which is currently used in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The phone will also feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage standards.
Camera and Software
The Pixel 7a is said to feature a dual-camera setup at the rear, including a 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor. In comparison, the Google Pixel 6a features a 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with support for a standard 60Hz refresh rate, powered by the in-house Tensor chipset paired with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone runs on Android 12 OS outside of the box but will get an Android 13 update this fall.
