WhatsApp Beta introduces high-quality (HD) photo sharing | Hackart

So, WhatsApp, a popular messaging app, is improving its photo sharing feature in its latest beta versions. Users can now send high-quality (HD) photos while maintaining the original dimensions. This update aims to enhance photo quality and provide a better media-sharing experience. Although currently available to beta testers only, it will soon be accessible to a wider audience.

Now You can share HD Photos in WhatsApp

The recent beta updates for WhatsApp on iOS and Android introduce a new option for managing photo quality. Users can select the “HD” option to send higher quality photos. However, there is still some compression applied to ensure efficient transmission while improving visual quality.

To activate the high-quality photo-sharing feature in WhatsApp, users need to choose a larger-sized photo. The option to select higher quality appears only for these photos, while the default setting remains “Standard quality.” Users must manually choose the HD option each time they want to share a photo with better quality. When a photo is sent with the “high quality” option, it is marked accordingly, making it easier for reciever to identify.

It’s important to note that this feature only applies to sharing photos within conversations and not to video sharing or status updates. To send videos in higher quality, they still need to be sent as documents. However, WhatsApp is regularly working on improving media sharing capabilities and plans to address these limitations in future updates.

The latest beta versions of WhatsApp for iOS and Android bring long-awaited improvements to the app. Beta testers can now enjoy the ability to share HD photos. The update also introduces a redesigned emoji keyboard and other exciting features. Keep an eye out for future updates as WhatsApp continues to refine and expand its media-sharing capabilities.
