Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 12 4G globally, along with three other Note 12 models. This is an exciting release as the Redmi Note 12 4G is the first phone in the world to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685, an overclocked version of the SD680. The phone will also be available in India from March 30th.
Design and Display
The Redmi Note 12 4G has a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole punch cutout at the center. It has a flat-edged design that’s only 7.85mm thick and weighs around 183.5g. The phone is available in three colors: Onyx Gray, Ice Blue, and Mint Green. It also has an IP53 rating and a side-mounted fingerprint reader for easy access.
Performance and Storage
The Redmi Note 12 4G is powered by Snapdragon 685 and comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS2.2 storage. It also supports microSD cards up to 1TB. The phone runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13. Additionally, the phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Camera
For photography, the Redmi Note 12 4G features a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP main (Samsung JN1, f/1.8) wide, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie shooter.
Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 12 4G comes in 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB trims. The global price is roughly $180 (approximately Rs 15,000). The phone is also set to launch in India on March 30th. Keep an eye out for more updates.
