Nothing Phone 2: Carl Pei Denies Leaked Renders – Hackart

So, Carl Pei, the founder and CEO of Nothing, recently denied the authenticity of leaked renders for the upcoming Nothing Phone 2. The renders, unveiled by well-known leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer and SmartPrix, showed the design of the Phone 2 before its official launch. However, Pei called them “fake” on Twitter, suggesting they were not real.

The Phone 2 is set to launch in July in India and other markets. The leaked renders indicated that the Phone 2’s design would be similar to its predecessor, the Phone 1. They showed a corner punch-hole screen, a dual-camera setup, and LED lighting on the back. Changes in the lighting elements of the back panel were also mentioned.

The renders were created using live shots of a testing unit of the Phone 2, representing a specific development stage. Minor design changes may occur before the official launch. Here are the leaked renders:

Nothing has stated that the Phone 2 will be made with sustainable materials. It will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, an aluminum frame, and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset with a 4,700mAh battery. The phone will come with the Nothing OS UI-based Android operating system. It is confirmed to receive three major Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

By dismissing the leaked renders as “fake,” Carl Pei has generated more anticipation for the upcoming Nothing Phone 2. As we wait for the July launch, it is clear that Nothing aims to deliver an impressive smartphone experience while focusing on sustainability and regular software updates.
